Summer 2008 Part 1 - Yellowstone

This year, we traveled far to the great USA !!
I have to admid, the value of the dollar was one big argument to go.

We flew into Salt Lake City: Mormon-town!
This is the view from our hotel room early in the morning around 6 am. We had 8 hours of timedifference.

The next day:

By 8:30 am we aleady checked out Temple Square and talked to Mormons who were trying to converd everyone there. At 9:30, we had enough of that and went shopping in the open air down town mall. There, we also visited the Olympic Plaza. After we spend lots of money - but still saved lots of money because of the dollar - we drove up to Yellowstone.

The first night we slept in this cute cabin and had our first campfire + BBQ.
The next day we made our first stop at Mammoth Hot Springs:

Then we went to the Yellowstone river and took a little hike:

The first night at Canyon Campground

We also took a hike up to Mount Washburn:

Later that day we went to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River:

Then we checked out all the geysers and hot springs.
